The Great Bridge Lacrosse Club was established in 2007 with players from Great Bridge, the Hickory school district and the district that would later become Grassfield. Hickory and Grassfield now have teams indicating the growth of this great sport. We are proud to have been the first established high school lacrosse team in Chesapeake.
We welcome boys and girls that are interested in playing and promoting lacrosse at Great Bridge High School. Lacrosse has been billed as the "fastest growing sport on two feet". Come join the action.

The boys were supposed to start their regular practices on Monday, Feb. 1. However, due to weather conditions and school cancellations practices have been postponed. Check your emails daily. Practices will be on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays at the field next to Great Bridge Middle School. Uniforms have to be ordered by Feb. 12. If you intend to play this season you must notify Coach Phipps or Mark & Kim Black.
Everybody needs to sign up with Hampton Roads Lacrosse, go to http://www.hrlax.com/ to do this. Coach Phipps will be coaching the boys team this year, we wish him and the team the best season ever.
The girls team has made some changes, please see Mrs. Black in the Media Center for details. They are now called Chesapeake United Girls Lacrosse team, they will consist of girls from Great Bridge, Grassfield and Hickory High Schools. Girls must also sign up with Hampton Roads Lacrosse at www.hrlax.com, uniforms must be ordered as well no later then 2/14/2010.
